Born in 1976, violist Mariana Vozovik studied with Prof. J. Kussmaul at the Robert-Schuhmann-Hochschule in Düsseldorf, Prof. K. Kashkashian at the “Hans Eisler”-Hochschule für Musik in Berlin and attended master classes with W. Christ and Y. Bashmet.
She received several awards such as a prize at the „Internationalen Beethoven-Wettbewerb für Violine und Viola“, Austria, in 2005 and a diploma at the “Brahms-Competition”. She worked with several well-known conductors such as D. Barenboim, Sir S. Rattle, B. Haitink, S. Ozawa, V. Gergiev and Sir G. Solti.
Besides her engagements as solo-violist in renowned orchestras such as Berlin Philharmonics, RSO Vienna, Gewandhaus Orchestra Leipzig, Vozovik was also initiator and director of the festival of the Eastern-European cultures “Kunst ohne Grenzen” in Berlin on the occasion of the “German-Russican-Cultural Encounters” in 2003. Vozovik appeared before large audiences in her numerous solo performances, chamber music concerts and concerts with orchestras in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Russia and other countries, as well as various solo performances on radio.
